Church Training & Teaching

As believers, we are the undeserving recipients of God’s grace and mercy. He has lovingly given us His Spirit and His Word to lead us. In fact, “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence” (1 Peter 1:3). Therefore, He has given us what we need to walk with one another through this fallen world. BCTM provides church leaders (pastors, deacons, elders, lay leaders, etc.) with training in how to use these gracious gifts to love struggling souls well and point them to the One who redeems even the most broken circumstances. Specifically, BCTM offers training sessions (structured, lecture-style options as well as more informal, interactive options) for church leaders and seminars/retreats for your congregation.

Roundtable Counseling (less formal, more interactive)

As the Lord grows and develops this ministry, we will continue to meet with individuals, married couples and families, but we also sense a calling to work with church leaders and lay people to encourage wise conversations in the many local congregations that we serve. As of 2017, we’ve met with hundreds of families from over 60 different churches. Through the relationships we have developed with these churches, some of the questions we hear include:

  • How can we help members who are hurting?
  • How can our small group leaders guide couples in conflict?
  • How do we embrace those struggling with grief and loss when we don’t know what to say?
  • How can we help members battling addiction?
  • How can our pastors ensure members are loved well while juggling time constraints?

In response to these common questions, we have developed Roundtable Counseling to come alongside and help the local body of Christ care well for one another. Over the last eight years, we’ve seen many consistent themes that plague God’s people even though the circumstances are undoubtedly different. To help bring hope to these challenges, our Roundtable Counseling blog offering life-changing truths. We would consider it a privilege to further expound on and explain where, why and how these same themes continue to unfold in God’s grand story of redemption in which we find ourselves! As we continue to meet with people at our home and affiliate offices in various cities, we also desire to share with churches and businesses the same grace and mercy that the Lord has first shown us. We do this through interactive discussions in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. A few examples include:

  • Conflict resolution in relationships
  • Struggling through anxiety and depression
  • Identifying wants vs. needs
  • Battling addiction
  • Christ-centered parenting
  • Dealing with pain and suffering

The RC blog lays the foundation of biblical truth for life’s challenges, and interactive discussions focus on applying those truths in personal and practical ways. We pray you will be encouraged by the RC blog, and please contact us at 601-709-8254 or connect@bctministries.com if you would like to bring RC group sessions to your church or business.
